Our sprinkles are mostly sugar (which is great!) but that means that they melt at high temperatures. We recommend using River Road Sprinkles in your post-baking decorating.
Not quite! Because our sprinkles are hand-dyed, any moisture will cause the colors to run slightly. They hold up with no problem on dry doughs and buttercream, but a very wet icing or batter may cause them to bleed.
Our sprinkles are best stored in cool, dark places. If you plan to merchandise our sprinkles, we would recommend having a rotation of product in order to avoid sun-fading.

No. Our sprinkles are coated in Confectioner’s Glaze, which is an animal byproduct created similarly to honey.
Our sprinkles do not include gluten; however, we are not a gluten-free kitchen.

Shipping & Returns
Below are some common questions about shipping, returns, and exchanges
No mass production here, we color our sprinkles by hand and to order! This means you should expect your sprinkles to ship 1-2 weeks after placing your order. Need them in a hurry? Contact Us and we’ll do our best to expedite your order.
All of our products are made to order, by hand, in small batches. Many of our items are constantly being restocked, so our processing times can vary. You can expect your sprinkles to be shipped 1-2 weeks after placing your order.
We cannot guarantee customers who purchase expedited shipping will receive faster processing times. If you choose to purchase priority shipping it's best to assume that this will speed up the transit time only. If you need your sprinkles in a hurry, please contact us at hello@riverroadsprinkle.com and we’ll do our best to expedite your order!
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
For international shipping, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. River Road is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
We put our best care into the creating and packaging of each order to ensure that you receive a quality item, free of any defects. If for some reason there is a problem with your product, please contact us at hello@riverroadsprinkle.com.
Food products: We do not offer refunds or exchanges on food items due to health & safety issues.
Merchandise: All of our non-food items are eligible for a return (no exchanges) with the following guidelines:
- Product is returned and received by us within 21 days of purchase.
- The items is unused and in the same condition that you received it, with all original tags and packaging.

Non-returnable items:
Gift cards, food items
Upon receipt of return and approval of condition, we will issue a refund back to the original method of payment, and you will receive a confirmation email. Refunds can take up to 10 days to appear on your credit card statement.
Shipping Info for Returns: Shipping costs from the original purchase are non-refundable. If accepted, your refund will include the cost of the returned product only. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
